Work Experience

Policy Software Engineer Raytheon Oakley Systems
April 2007 – Present

Lead developer for policies that are used in the Raytheon Oakley Systems product. Tasks include building and maintaining tools that are used to create, test, and release policies as well as researching new subjects for policies. During the policy development process I interact hand in hand with the sales team, other internal developers, and provide support directly to customers.

Major Accomplishments:

  • Developed a web portal that utilizes PHP and MySQL to interface with our internal policy development language, continuous build system, and support site. This portal allows users to access our policy repository easily and build complex policies that can then be used by the Raytheon Oakley Systems product.
  • Created and maintained a repository of over 500 policies.

Internet Researcher Oakley Networks

Gathered detailed information on many different research topics that were used to build keyword lists, regular expressions, and training sets. Portfolio

x360 Share www.x360share.com
Achievement Sharing Service

x360 Share automatically posts your Xbox 360 achievement unlocks to your Facebook and Twitter streams allowing your friends to see which achievements you’ve unlocked.

Users have the ability to configure the update frequency (every 10 minutes, every hour, or every day) as well as modifying the message that is sent to their stream.

To complete this project I built a scraper that logs into the Xbox web portal and browses user gamertags for updates. I’ve also utilized the Facebook and Twitter API’s to post activity on behalf of the user as well as using Facebook and Twitter as logins to prevent a need for users to create a new username/password registration for X360 Share.

Cam Vars www.camvars.com
Personal Blog and Portfolio

Cam is my old college roommate and trying to break into the game design industry. Having the ability to display his portfolio to potential employers and being able to share his experiences with friends and family presented a need for a presence on the web.

Cam had purchased a template but had no backend to drive his site so I built a fully functional content management system that supports all of the commonly needed features for a blog/portfolio such as categories, file management, rich content creation, and much more. I had to heavily modify the template to fit these new components in order to build a cohesive experience.

Xmech www.xmech.net
Personal Blog

Xmech has been my personal home on the internet for coming up on 10 years. Over that time I’ve used Xmech as a playground to test multiple blog and forum software (everything from open source offerings to home grown platforms). Currently I use it as my primary blog where I share everything from programming tutorials to write ups from my latest Jeeping adventures.
